- Remove the cap from the inhaler
- Shake the inhaler well and insert it upright in the back of the AeroChamber
- Place the mask over the nose and mouth to create a good seal (or the mouthpiece in mouth)
- Let the child breathe in and out slowly and steadily (if you hear a whistle sound you are breathing in too quickly
- Press the inhaler with the free hand and leave the inhaler in the same position as the child continues to breathe in and out slowly; count for 5-10 seconds
- Remove the AeroChamber from the child’s face
- Wait 30 seconds before a second dose is taken and then repeat steps 2-6

Caring for your AeroChamber
- Remove the back piece
- To detach front piece twist the chamber
- Soak the parts in warm water with washing up liquid. Agitate gently
- Rinse parts in clean water
Dishwasher safe
- Avoid heavy or other cycles that include heated dry over 70’C
- Parts must be placed on the top rack ONLY
- Use dishwasher detergent
- Do not boil or sterilise
- Shake out excess water from the parts and allow to air dry in an upright positon
- Ensure all parts are dry before putting back together
- To reassemble, fit the front piece on the end of the chamber and twist firmly to secure
- Centre the alignment feature on the back piece with the indicator on the top. Press firmly to attach the back piece.
Examine for damage
Product needs to be replaced after 12 months – ask your GP, asthma nurse or pharmacist
