Wards and departments across Lincolnshire’s hospitals are taking on a 60 day challenge to raise awareness of infection prevention.
The 60 day infection prevention challenge is calling on ward staff to make a monster effort and get as many infection prevention pledges as possible from staff, visitors and patients relating to any aspect of infection prevention.
Head of Infection Prevention for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Kevin Shaw, said: “We have an infection prevention team working across our hospitals, working with staff and patients to improve protection against infection and raise awareness of how everyone can help to reduce infection rates.
“The 60 challenge is calling upon our staff and patients to identify little things they can do to help protect themselves and others. This could be anything from ensuring their training is up to date and hand hygiene to working with our team to identify risks in their area and make improvements.”
