Since October our occupational team has been out and about across the Trust administering their flu jabs to any staff who want them.
You may have seen them at the various staff engagement events or perhaps you dropped into one of their special clinics which have been taking place over recent weeks.
The take up from all staff has been really phenomenal this year and we’re delighted to announce that so far 72.6% of all frontline staff have already taken up their flu vaccinations. We only need to vaccinate just over 100 more staff to reach 75%, which would be a real achievement.
Our target was 70% so it’s brilliant to have reached this milestone and we’d like to thank all staff who have become #flufighters this year. Getting yourselves protected in turn helps to keep the patients coming into our hospitals safer and healthier.
Don’t forget, all staff are eligible for a free flu jab and clinics will continue to run until the end of February. Just visit the occupational health pages of the Trust intranet for a full list of dates.
Throughout the colder months we’ve been supporting the #staywellthiswinter campaign, urging members of the public to get their flu jabs where they can, encouraging patients to choose the most appropriate care for their needs and reminding people to make sure they collect any regular medication ahead of the Christmas Bank Holidays. There is currently an outbreak of flu in the community. The flu jab protects from this particular strain. Make sure you get your jab as soon as possible.
With that in mind, below is a helpful list of pharmacy opening times in Lincolnshire over the Christmas and New Year period.
