What do you like best about your role?
Meeting people on a daily basis and hearing some amazing life stories from other volunteers.
Name one thing you couldn’t live without. Music.
How would your friends and colleagues describe you? Inspirational, funny (I hope), helpful, crazy sense of humour and annoying (in a good way I hope).
Which three people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party and why? Slash from Guns N’Roses – I can watch him play guitar all night long. Micky Flanagan – would have me in tears of laughter all night. My dad – I miss our chats.
If you could have any superpower what would it be? To be invisible at any given moment, I’d have some fun being a complete menace.
What was the last thing that made you smile? Louis Theroux having Liposuction on telly last night, that man is insane.
What talent do you wish you had? Wish I could play the guitar. Had a go at singing in a band once (badly I must say!).
Who’s your favourite band? Guns N’Roses
What is your greatest achievement? Highest achievement award in the Spalding and District Snooker League, received for bringing people together and for my fundraising snooker events for MIND. ULHT Volunteer of the Year is not far behind it. Mustn’t forget having a family as a wonderful achievement too.
Where is your favourite place in the world? West Wales, happy times growing up with family there.
What’s your favourite book? I’m not really a reader of books but did enjoy the biography of Slash from Guns N’Roses.
If you could change one thing about your role what would it be? I would love to go on the payroll and really help to take volunteering to a higher level.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you take with you? Spotify, as I must have music of some sort. A snooker table. A guitar (to strum badly).
How would you like to be remembered? For being an inspiration.
