My flippant answer is oxygen but I also love cheese.
How would your friends and colleagues describe you?
Firm, fair and occasionally funny.
Which three people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party and why?
I’d love to share a ‘lot’ of drinks with René Descartes, Nikola Tesla and James Dyson. Three great minds who questioned what we know and proposed an alternative.
If you could have any superpower what would it be?
To be in two places at once. There never seems to be enough hours in the day!
What was the last thing that made you smile?
The wagging tail of my dog first thing this morning.
What talent do you wish you had?
To see without glasses.
Where is your favourite place in the world?
A windswept mountain top where you can see the curvature of the world. Even better if it’s been snowing. No phones, no bleeps, just space and nature.
What’s your favourite book?
There are so many……. Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett.
If you could change one thing about where you work what would it be?
I would like to reduce the politics that dominate healthcare in Lincolnshire and allow clinicians and manages to do what we do best. Care for our patients.
How would you like to be remembered?
Someone who tried their hardest every day to make a difference (even it’s only a tiny ripple in a large pool).
