Elderly patients being cared for at a Lincolnshire hospital are benefitting from improved services, staffing and care. The elderly care team at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston has been transformed over the last year and a half, with new consultants bringing in expertise and innovation that has resulted in a reduction in length of stay for patients and a new service.

The endoscopy unit at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston has been given the seal of approval following an accreditation visit. The unit cares for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, where the inside of your body is examined using an endoscope – a long, thin, flexible tube that has a light source and a video camera at one end.

Volunteers at Lincolnshire’s hospitals are being celebrated for the great work they do as part of national Volunteers’ Week. Volunteers at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (ULHT), Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) and Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) play an integral part in the running of NHS services in the county.
